Turks and Caicos Islands -The Future Looks Bright

For those that invested in TCI five years ago, good for you. For those of you that would like to invest in TCI now, what a great opportunity.

Turks & Caicos Islands have gone from a fledgling destination to a major player as a high-end vacation destination over the past five years. Being in the right place at the right time with the right product, the islands have attracted major real estate developments and hospitality talents that continue to fuel growth which is expected to remain strong and steady over the next few years.

That is not saying that we are immune to the current economic situation. Our islands, as is the rest of the world, are experiencing a leveling off period. Our growth has been phenomenal over the last five or six years. Prices have stabilized; development is on a slower but steady path, our infrastructure is working to catch up to the development boom. Providenciales’s airport is expanding, the runway will increase from 7700 feet to 11,000 feet, and a new terminal will follow. This will allow larger jets to land here giving much of the world access to our islands. The influx of visitors brings influx of investment dollars and within a couple of years the current supply will be depleted and there will be a higher demand for development of condominiums and housing.

The Government is building two new hospitals, one in the capital of Grand Turk, the other in Providenciales, both scheduled for opening in 2009. With the upgrade in health care facilities we will see the increasing number of baby boomers coming to our shores, knowing that not only will they be enjoying the sea, sand and sun but they will have top notch medical care if needed.

Our Government has promoted Turks and Caicos quite aggressively over the last few years and in doing so word is spreading that we are one of the most Beautiful By Nature
Caribbean destinations. Grace Bay Beach boosts 11 miles of white powdery sand, the turquoise waters can not be described, you must see it to believe it.

Providenciales has world class, award winning resorts such as Amanyara, Beaches, Grace Bay Club, The Palms, The Somerset, The Regent Grand, Parrot Cay, Ritz Carlton, and many others that have excellent reputations. Most of the resorts have restaurants on site; chefs come from around the world to create the perfect meal for you.

Private businesses along with the Government are continually training staff to serve our visitors to the highest standard. When you visit please let those that serve you know that they are doing a great job.
