Thinking along these lines we truly are fortunate here! We have the most beautiful waters anyone can imagine. The many beaches on all the islands here in the Turks and Caicos are amazing and of course our world famous GRACE BAY BEACH continues to win awards and recognition for Providenciales. It is an amazing natural wonder. It is never crowded – not even in full season and is enjoyed by local and visitor – old and young alike! More resorts are now offering sundown parties or dinners on the beach – what a special treat these are! Try the Flamingo Bar for meeting the residents on a Sunday afternoon – cold beer and hot music right on the beach! How about a New England style clam bake or a full moon party – check them all out!
New air lifts are coming in this winter season so keep yourself informed. Ottawa will be coming direct with Air Canada and the Canadian West Jet is flying here this year too so Eastern Canada is well served. The Canadian Dollar is strong so come on down Canada and get some sun! Of course we still have many excellent connections from the USA – New York, Miami, Atlanta, Charlotte plus seasonal direct flights from many other cities!
RESTAURANTS – RESTAURANTS – RESTAURANTS! We got ‘em now what do we do with them! Enjoy them of course. It was recently suggested that on Providenciales we have 23 ‘gourmet’ restaurants. No other Island can compare to this – most have 3-4 fine dinning establishments! We are lucky we have such an extensive range of active sports activities to ‘work it off’!
Speaking of sports the Provo Golf and Country Club has just hosted the Caribbean Open and was much appreciated as one of the best in the last 10 years! The very active Club has a great social calendar and very reasonable fees – check it out on their web site www.provogolfclub.com for yourself!
There is an upsurge in real estate enquires here lately coming on the heels of the British suspending the local Parliament after investigations into local affairs revealed some unacceptable behavior by elected members. H. E. Governor Wetherell has appointed several respected local persons to work with his team to restore good governance. The press had been reporting on this situation for several months and it is good to get on with life here and bring new investment into our Islands again!
Providenciales and the sister Islands are open and ready for business! Think about it! We have the best weather, we are closest of the British Islands to the major USA cities and only 75 minutes away from Miami.
